Salesforce CRM
This user experience and prototype project was for an enterprise level CRM application to be used by over 1500 internal users. The project required translating deep data analysis (spreadsheets) into a semi-functional wire frame prototype. The prototype was then used by business stakeholders as reference material and a “point-to” during review sessions with internal system developers and Salesforce.com engineers.
I enjoyed this project immensely (due in part by the people I was working with) but also because of the complexity. I used Microsoft’s Expression Blend (Sketchflow) to build out the prototype. Eventually, this user experience model will be absorbed by an out-of-the-box Salesforce.com implementation.
MarketMaker
Moeller Electric manufactures and distributes industrial-strength motor control and automation parts all over North America. Moeller’s distributor channel reaches far and wide. This distributor pool of users required a secure, always-on Web portal to check order status, inventory and product technical information.
I project led the construction of MarketMaker, Moeller’s secure portal for distributors and inside sales agents. I conducted requirements gatherings with internal stakeholders and top-tier customers. I wire-framed page views and created an interactive prototype which was used to collaborate with back-end developers during construction.
